Structure of the academic year

At Â鶹ÊÓƵ, the academic year is structured in accordance with the principles of the British and Ukrainian educational systems. We strive to provide a balanced combination of intensive study and necessary rest, as well as to create conditions for the comprehensive development of our students, so the school year at our school lasts 10 months from 1 September to 30 June with holiday periods and special weeks to facilitate adaptation and progress monitoring.

Why is this structure important?

Rhythmicity

Regular rest periods help to maintain energy and interest in learning.

Space for growth

Students have the opportunity to improve their results on separate, dedicated days without stress.

Smooth transition

Adaptation weeks allow for a seamless transition between learning and rest.

Personal development

Participation in Progress Week and school camps combines learning with the development of key skills

Advantages of the academic year structure at Â鶹ÊÓƵ

  • Flexible approach to the learning processThe inclusion of an adaptation week in early January (Get Started Week) allows students to gradually return to school after the winter holidays without stress.
  • Focus on academic developmentProgress Week in May is a unique educational period without standard lessons, during which students work on in-depth study of subjects, creative or research projects.
