A school psychologist is not just a consultant, but a support for all participants in the educational process, helping to make learning comfortable and safe.

He or she performs an important function in the educational process, helping students, parents and teachers to cope with psychological challenges.

Main tasks of a school psychologist:

1. Psychological support for students
– Helps children overcome stress, anxiety, fears and emotional difficulties.
– Supports adolescents in the period of personal development.
– It helps to resolve conflicts between peers.
2. Creating a healthy atmosphere at school
– Preventing and combating bullying.
– Creating a favourable psychological climate in classrooms.
– Developing tolerance and mutual respect among children.
3. Assistance in the learning process
– Identification of learning difficulties and development of individual approaches.
– Counselling for students with attention, memory and motivation problems.
4. Parental support
– Helps parents to better understand their child.
– Provides advice on parenting and conflict resolution.
– Organises trainings and seminars on relevant topics.
5. Work with teachers
– Consultations for teachers on the psychological approach to students.
– Help in solving difficult situations in the classroom.
– Psycho-emotional support for teachers to prevent professional burnout.
